I was consulted by Politico to help solve a problem: most people would read the story headlines posted on social media without clicking the article. So there became a need to increase the context and overall design of the ‘featured images’ that accompanied these posts.

Typically, these articles would only show an editorial image that was featured on the articles themselves. So I worked to create new images that could easily serve as eye-catching, information-rich alternatives to entice users to click to read more, or stop scrolling to engage better with the content.
